Take your photographs to a new level! Join us at Bridge Headquarters! The Cyanotype is an early form of photographic printing that yields a beautiful Prussian blue tone. Using analogue or digital capture, you will learn to create a large format digital negative that can be used to contact print your images on to watercolor paper.
All Participants will take home a minimum of 3 finished cyanotype prints.

SIOBHAN ARNOLD, San Diego Artist + Educator
Siobhán Arnold is a San Diego based artist/educator whose work explores mythology, feminism, and the history of visual representation. A multimedia artist, Siobhán works primarily with photography, sculpture, and installation. She still embraces traditional film processes, view cameras, and lensless photography.Siobhán received a bachelor’s degree in Art and Design from the University of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts from UCSB. She has been living and teaching in California since 2001.

WORKSHOP MATERIALS + EQUIPMENT
WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE
- OHP Transparency Film
- Uncoated Printmaking Paper
- Contact Printing Frames
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING
- Digital Camera (of any kind, i.e. iPhone, DSLR, mirrorless, whatever)
- Laptop (or digital media device that allows for the uploading and editing of images)
- Adobe Photoshop (not required, but helpful)
There will be a computer available, but for faster and more frequent editing, we suggest you bring a laptop if you have one available.
All participants will leave with a minimum of 3 finished cyanotypes.
